Marian Drew
Laboratory Technician

“I qualified as a Biomedical Scientist in 1973 and helped establish the Regional Cytogenetic Department at Heartlands Hospital. I left to have a family and then returned to work in a multi-disciplinary laboratory at the Priory Hospital. After several years I left and joined the Bone Marrow Transplant Team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. This led me on to research work at the Birmingham University in the School of Immunity and Infection. I have been running the laboratory at the 608 Vet Practice since 2000. We have a fully equipped lab with excellent in house analysers available. On a personal note I have two Arab horses and have been doing competitive endurance riding for 15 years. I am treasurer of the Heart of England Group of Endurance GB.”
